It was good to hear your perspective and to hear you talk about the freedoms our young soldiers have defended fo as long as I can remember. You said it well; I was very pleased when I heard the Catholic Bishops were filing suit agains the Government, hopefully, Obama Specific. This man has done more to damage our freedoms than any other politician in US History. Your suite for freedom aill also maan most Catholics will not vote for Obama, which is another spin-off good thing about what you are doing.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (known as Mormons) I greatly appreciate Cardinal Wuerl’s response to the question of whether Mormon’s are Christians. He deflected the question.
Beyond that I greatly applaud the cardinal for his manner of making clear and strong statements where it was called for and otherwise avoiding contention.
Lorin, I too am Mormon. A lot of people have some pretty weird ideas about the LDS church. We use the very same Holy Bible as the other Christian faiths. We have very strong family values also,( and only 1 wife and 1 husband) We do not practice Polygamy in the LDS Church any longer, what you hear/read about are off shoots/Cult- type groups, but NOT the LDS CHURCH.
Cardinal Wuerl, you are a true American Christian. You’re not afraid to stand up for your free speech rights and your constitutionally protected freedom of conscience and free exercise of religion. Many egomaniacs in Washington with no respect for the rule of law would like to burn the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. May God bless you and may other Christians follow your lead.
